In Light of the Stars so Pretty

The poem goes, that in a pea green boat

The Owl and the Pussy-cat  started to float

With plenty of money

And their wrapped up honey

Under the stars so pretty

But why, no one wondered; how that old bird

Charmed a pretty cat by repeating the words

‘Pussy, you are…you are’

While strumming his old guitar

Under the stars so pretty

Surely the Owl and the Pussy-cat knew

That marriage was something they ought not pursue

But the elegant fowl

And the beautiful pussy

Danced by the light of the moon,

The moon,

The moon,

They danced by the light of the moon

Under the stars so pretty
